“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3

Approximately four years ago, during the weeks following my sister’s passing, while COVID was still ravaging the world, I was barely in survival mode. I had no relatives living close by (but thank God for my husband and son), and I was running on adrenaline — unable to sleep or even grieve as I rushed around trying to handle everything that needed to be done.

After weeks of exhaustion, the day came when I realized I needed to find a way to rest. I went into the bedroom, turned on a Christian channel, and lay down. As I turned toward the TV to see what was on, the program host looked directly into the camera, pointed at me, and said in a loud voice:

“The Lord wants you to know that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds!”

I nearly fell out of the bed at that moment, crying out loud,
“Thank You, Lord — I hear You!”

The deep grief began to lift as I experienced the voice of my Comforter. I will never forget that day.
