                To live victoriously

River of Life is a full gospel, non denominational congregation.

We believe:

        In one true God.  Revealed as a triune being- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)

        The Bible is God’s word, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is the final authority in all things related to faith. (I Timothy 3:15-17)

        In the deity of Jesus Christ, eternally existing with God the Father, made manifest in the flesh.  (John 1:1-2; 14)

        That every individual has sinned and needs God’s forgiveness and new life.  This is available to everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as personal savior, by faith in his finished, redemptive work (life, death, resurrection, and ascension- Ephesians 2:8-9)

        In being baptized in water, to fulfill all righteousness, having received Jesus as Lord.  We are not water baptized to become righteous, but are baptized because we have been made righteous by faith (an outward demonstration of an inward work- Mark 16:16; Matthew 3:15).

        In the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a separate, and subsequent work to salvation for power to witness. (Matthew 3:11; Luke 24:46-49; Acts 1:4-8).  This experience is available today (Acts 2:39) and is for whosoever will ask in faith believing.  (Luke 11:13; Galatians 3:2;14)

        In healing as a part of the great salvation provided for us in Christ Jesus (Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:17; I Peter 2:24; Psalm 103:2-3).  Therefore, we lay hands on the sick, anoint with oil and pray for their recovery.  (Mark 16:17-18; James 5:14-15)

        As a climax to God’s dealing with humanity, Jesus Christ is coming again.  At the time there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the wicked.  The wicked will be judged and the righteous will be ushered into the everlasting kingdom of God. (John 5:28-29;

I thessalonians 4:13-18; revelation 20:11-15; Matthew 25:31-46)

        The Holy Spirit has given spiritual gifts to the church for edification and ministry.  these gifts are operative and remain until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 1:4-7)
